[PTabbedContent=Human][PTab=Overview] Humans are a race of mortal, sentient animal species who were created in the image of God and are considered the dominant species of Earth.
Each human has a soul, and, upon their death, will face judgment to determine where their soul will go in the afterlife. Those who have broken God's laws and/or lived a life of evil are likely to be sent to Hell for punishment, while most others will find eternal solace in Heaven. While punishment in Hell is stated on several occasions to be eternal, humans can be redeemed from Hell by angels. Such an action is rare, though.
Humans generally do not have abilities, and as such are generally looked down on by other supernatural creatures. However, what humans lack in power, they have in adaptability and potential. Humans and their souls are vulnerable to certain supernatural forces that could weaken, strengthen or modify them in many conceivable ways. They are also capable of being hosts or vessels for various supernatural creatures. [/PTab] [PTab=Hunter] A hunter is a human who hunts down the supernatural and saves people from monsters, demons, ghosts and other creatures. [PTabbedContent=Angels][PTab=Overview] Angels are celestial beings created by God. They are winged spirits native to Heaven, imbued with holy white light. Their true form is nothing less of holy righteous beings which are beautiful as well as hazardous, terrifying, and overwhelming all at the same time; ranging from two to six large feathered wings on their backs, four animalistic heads with halos of light around them, and heights as tall as skyscrapers.
Naturally this form is impossible for creatures of Earth to perceive. As a result, angels possess an Earthly body. Creation of such a form is possible for all angels, and circumvents the need for host bodies. However, such an act requires the permission of the Heavenly Host, and creating an Earthly body without that is considered treason. [/PTab] [PTab=Low Rank] Cherubim Cherubim, also called Cupids in, are ordered as third class angels, and thus placed at the very bottom of the Celestial chain of command, Heaven's hierarchy. They follow Heaven's orders, particularly serving Michael. In their occupation, they are responsible for manipulating affection in certain, special bloodlines. These angels receive all their orders directly from heaven and, should they disobey and be cut off from the Host of Heaven, their abilities would fade immediately. While they are weaker than other angels they do possess a few unique abilities. Their listed abilities are: - Pathokinesis, Body Materialization, Invisibility, Teleportation, Immortality, and Invulnerability.
One other unique aspect of Cupids is their bow. It is a mark on the palm of their hand that allows them to use their Pathokinesis. This mark can be removed by physical methods to inhibit their abilities and can be used in spells. Enochian sigils would be able to bind, imprison, or keep a Cupid out. Holy Oil could be used to trap them and angel blades could be used to kill them. They are also the only angels that do not have their own angel blades. Standard Angels These are normal, common angels. Though not nearly as powerful as the Archangels or Seraphim, they are still extremely formidable and can easily destroy most demons and monsters, with the exception of the highest ranking demons. They are grouped into garrisons and are commanded by the Seraphim. They often carry Angel Blades. It is said that none of them have actually ever met God, and thus must rely on faith and obedience. These angels receive all their orders directly from heaven and, should they disobey and be cut off from the Host of Heaven, their abilities would gradually fade. Their listed abilities are: - Angelic Possession, Astral Projection, Chronokinesis, Dream walking, Eidetic Memory, Electronic Manipulation, Immortality, Invulnerability, Regeneration, Sedation, Super Stamina, Super Strength, Super Senses, Supernatural Perception, Telekinesis, Telepathy, Teleportation, Voice Mimicry, Protective Charm, Flight, and Pyrokinesis.
Angels also have other abilities they may use if granted permission from the Host of Heaven: - Enhanced Chronokinesis, Healing, Smiting, Resurrection
All standard angels have angelic blades. As stated above, they serve in Garrisons and each Garrison reports to one head Seraphim. Enochian sigils would be able to bind, imprison, or keep an angel out. Holy Oil could be used to trap them and angel blades could be used to kill them. [/PTab] [PTab=High Rank] Seraphim Seraphs are a higher species of angels, above normal angels but lower in status than archangels. Their true form is very intimidating, estimated to be thousands of feet high. They have four faces, one of which is that of a lion, and six gigantic feathered wings. Unlike standard angels, Seraphim powers are imbued within them, meaning they still possess all of their powers, even if they become fallen angels, and are cut off from Heaven. The major difference between average angels and the Seraphim is that the latter possesses several cosmic powers lower angels don't, and some they do, but at a greatly elevated level. They can bend time without effort, heal humans of any injury or illness, revive humans who have been reduced to atoms, even years later. However, being separated from Heaven for long periods may weaken them. This is apparently a temporary problem however. Seraphim have all standard (but not cupid) abilities. They also have access to several higher-power abilities. Their listed abilities are: - Biokinesis, Advanced Vessel Locking, Memory Manipulation, Advanced Pyrokinesis, Soul Reading, Reality Warping, Power Removal, White Light, Invisibility
All seraphim have their own angel blade. Each seraphim also leads their own garrison. Enochian sigils would be able to bind, imprison, or keep an angel out. Holy Oil could be used to trap them and angel blades could be used to kill them. Arch-angels Archangels are the first and most powerful celestial beings created by God. God created them before any other type of angel, such as seraphim and Cupids, or any other creatures, although Leviathans predate them. Archangels are at the top of the celestial hierarchy, answerable only to God, although Death is likely more powerful than them. They were created in this order: Michael, Lucifer, Raphael, and Gabriel. They are known in Heaven as absolute, precise and wrathful creatures. Like all angels, their true forms are very intense, and have proven not only harmful but also fatal to humans. Their presence on Earth outside a vessel is often visualized as a blinding, pure white light, and their arrival can cause minor tremors. Their true voice also emits a piercing sound, which has proven to be excruciatingly painful to humans. It has also been stated that Archangels are tethered to prophets to protect them from demonic influences. Archangels require specific hosts in order to contain their immense heavenly presence on earth. Lesser hosts disintegrate with time. They have all standard (but not cupid) abilities, as well as all seraphim abilities. They also have access to several higher-power abilities. Their listed abilities are: - Cosmic Awareness, Cryokinesis, Electrokinesis, Molecular Combustion, Shapeshifting, Weather Manipulation, Terrakinesis, Nigh-Omnipotence
Arch-angels carry Arch-Angel blades. These weapons were created by the arch-angels themselves and are one of the only known weapons that can be used to kill them. Enochian sigils would be able to bind, imprison, or keep an angel out. Holy Oil could be used to trap them and arch-angel blades could be used to kill them. [/PTab] [PTab=Fallen] Fallen Angels are those who have been cast out from heaven and locked out of the power granted from Heaven's Host. Angels can fall one of two* ways: Either by removal of their grace, or by disobeying Heaven's orders and being cut off from the power of the host. Angels who were in heaven with no vessel who had their grace removed would be reborn as babies on earth, while those in vessels would retain that humanly form.
These do not include Seraphim that have rebelled against heaven as those angels retain their abilities even outside of their connection to the heavenly host. Seraphim could have their grace removed, however, as could Arch-Angels.
Their abilities vary. All seem to have access to 'Angel Radio', the telepathy shared between all angels, but those who were raised humans seem to grow into their ability to access it. They also lack the ability to send messages and are only able to receive. Those who have lost their grace occasional are able to show fits of super strength and bursts of telekinesis while those cut off from Heaven's Host gradually become entirely human. They also retain all their angelic knowledge, those this is something else that those reborn as humans need time to regain.
Fallen Angels who have been removed from the Heaven Host gradually become human and, as they do, their weakness to Enochian Sigils fade. It is replaced with all human weaknesses. Those without grace was immune to Enochian as well but can be killed as easily as humans.
*We are aware that there is a third method - removal of wings. However, this was done through a spell and at the moment cannot be replicated in this RP. [/PTab] [/PTabbedContent]

[PTabbedContent=Monsters][PTab=Overview] "Monster" is the collective name given to the children and descendants of Eve. Although referring to many different species, they all share a point of origin, and many share similar traits. They are supernatural creatures with extraordinary strength and powers, and commonly prey upon humans. When they die, their souls are sent neither to Heaven nor Hell, but to Purgatory.
Staff would like it to be noted that while near any monster could be killed by 'beheading and immense physical trauma' this does not mean it's a viable option. Beheading is not easy and the sheer strength required to behead a human is far more than most people have, let alone the strength to behead a far stronger monster. However, it is also worth remembering that immortality and invulnerability will not save any creature that happens to fall into a wood chipper. Use common sense and keep in mind that things not specifically listed as a weakness may also hurt them. [/PTab] [PTab=Low Rank] Low ranking monsters are fairly common in the supernatural world. This guide should help answer any questions about a monsters ability when being apped, or if one is appearing in a thread. These are not the only low ranked monsters but are the ones that staff believes will be used most often. If you have questions regarding another monster do not hesitant to contact staff. Kitsune A kitsune is a monster that, in appearance, looks somewhat similar to werewolves. Kitsunes seem to be very rare and uncommon. They feed on the pituitary gland, a part of the brain- without it, they will die. Kistunes look like regular human beings but have the ability to partially shapeshift themselves into animal-like qualities. A kitsune's primary weapon is their claws; they can extend claws from their finger tips upon demand. And, if they are feeding or attacking, their eyeballs turn yellow and fox-like while the pupils narrow. All in all they take on a very similar appearance a werewolf does. - Abilities: All kitsunes have the same standard set of abilities. Super strength, super speed, claws, and invulnerability.
- Kitsunes have several weaknesses as well. Beheading or immense bodily damage will kill then, as well as being stabbed through the heart. They can also starve to death if not allowed to consume human brain.
Shapeshifter Shapeshifters are human-like creatures that start out human, but later learn how to change their form to look like anyone they want. When exactly they learn is not consistent, some can learn from infancy, while others do not learn until much later in their lives. Due to starting off as humans, shapeshifters can have humans urges and vices, such as greed, lust, etc. They are also arguably the most human monsters there are. When a shapeshifter takes the shape of the person they choose to change into, they literally shed their skin, teeth and nails. When they change into the person's physical appearance, they access the thoughts of the person they are mimicking. Some shapeshifters are known to change their shape in a matter of seconds while others are known to take up to several hours. They can also take the forms of fictional characters or inhuman characteristics, such as vampire fangs or werewolf claws. They can also alter their eyes so they resemble their retinal flare. Shapeshifters reproduce the same way that humans do and can even reproduce with humans. The child born from that union is always a shapeshifter but is born in the form of a human. All shapeshifters have the same 'true form' which they rarely ever stay in - it is humanoid with green skin, a long, thin body, a large mouth and no eyes. - Abilities: All shapeshifters have the same standard set of abilities. Shape shifting, super strength, super speed, super agility, and regeneration.
- Shapeshifters have several weaknesses as well. Beheading or immense bodily damage will kill then, as will silver bullets or silver blades. Iridium is lethal to them as well and dogs can sense their presence.
Skinwalker Skinwalkers are supernatural dog-like creatures. Skinwalkers are considered by hunters to be werewolf cousins because they have similar characteristics. They shape shift into an animal, they are killed by silver weapons, they infect people with a single bite, and they feed on human hearts. Unlike werewolves, skinwalkers' transformation into a canine is complete and they are not limited by the phases of the moon. Skinwalkers can change into their animal form at any time, day or night. Skinwalkers also mostly change into canines instead of a wolf-human hybrid like werewolves. Like other creatures such as vampires, and real canines, they seem to have a pack mentality, as they are led by a pack leader. Other common features similar to werewolves is the fact that they always eat the heart of their victim and they have an infectious bite, they can turn humans into skinwalkers simply by biting them and passing on the infection to the person. - Abilities: All skinwalkers have the same standard set of abilities. Enhanced strength, super speed, accelerated healing, invulnerability, enhanced sense of smell and hearing, shape shifting, and an infectious bite.
- Skinwalkers have several weaknesses as well. Beheading or immense bodily damage will kill then, as will silver bullets or silver blades.
Vampires Vampires are a race of blood drinking supernatural creatures that had once been human. While they require blood to survive the blood does not need to be human, though animal blood has a 'dirty' and 'disgusting' taste to it. They drink blood by biting into their victim's neck to lap at the blood that pools, though they can also drink 'bagged' blood (transfusion bags) if they prefer to avoid hurting humans. The only requirement for their blood is that it's 'alive' and was drawn from a living host. Vampires "mate" for life; newly turned vampires become attached to the first person they drink from, if that person is not killed. - Abilities: All vampires have the same standard set of abilities. Super strength, super speed, super agility, super stamina, superhuman senses, immortality, invulnerability, and regeneration. Their blood is also infectious. These effectiveness of these abilities depends on the age of the vampire and the amount of blood the vampire has drank lately.
- Vampires have several weaknesses as well. Beheading or immense bodily damage will kill then. Dead man's blood is a poison that causes man and incapacitates them. Sunlight cannot hurt them, but they are extremely light sensitive and burn incredibly easy under sunlight and even bright light. Loud noises cause equal pain; their superhuman senses backfire when given intense stimuli.
Vetala They appear human until they attack, at which point they reveal sharp teeth and blue, snake-like eyes. They hunt in packs and show great concern over those in their group. If one of their own is harmed they will go to great lengths to punish those responsible. Much like vampires they feed on human blood. - Abilities: Fangs, paralyzing venom, super strength, super senses.
- Vetala have several weaknesses as well. Beheading or immense bodily damage will kill then, as will silver bullets or silver blades.
Werewolves Werewolves are humanoid carnivores. They feed on prey found nearby, which, due to the increase of urban areas, are mostly humans. When they devour the flesh of victim they leave a recognizable trace on the prey: they always eat the heart, and although they do sometimes eat more of the body, but never leave the heart. The transformation only occurs after a werewolf bites a victim, the way werewolves continue the spread of lycanthropy. In their werewolf form, their bodies change rapidly, changing into a fitting definition of predators. Their nails increase to sharp, long claws, fangs increase in size and eyes resemble those of a wolf rather than of a human. Regular werewolves can only turn into a werewolf during nights coinciding with the peak of the lunar cycle during their sleep. The people affected by the disease have a short-term memory loss, often leaving them in confusion of wounds which might have been caused during the night. Despite having no control over and during their transformation, certain fragments of their personality and fears can be imbibed by the werewolf's mind, especially strong ones. Aside from hunger, suppressed fears or aggression can drive them to kill in their beast form. As such, a werewolf's attack may be controlled by these emotions, depending on which one is dominant. Note: Low-ranking werewolves cannot be purebloods. - Abilities: All werewolves have the same standard set of abilities. Super strength, super speed, super agility, super stamina, superhuman senses, invulnerability, infectious bite and regeneration.
- Werewolves have several weaknesses as well. Beheading or immense bodily damage will kill then, as will silver bullets or silver blades.
[/PTab] [PTab=Mid Rank] Mid ranking monsters are uncommon in the supernatural world. This guide should help answer any questions about a monsters ability when being apped, or if one is appearing in a thread. These are not the only mid ranked monsters but are the ones that staff believes will be used most often. If you have questions regarding another monster do not hesitant to contact staff. Arachnes Arachnes are supernatural creatures who have abilities similar to those of spiders. An arachne is a creature that can create strong webs, just like real spiders can do, so they can trap their victims with ease. They are also capable of changing humans of the opposite sex into arachnes by biting them, in order to propagate their species. Arachnes can even kill humans with poisoning through their bites. It is implied that they feed upon human flesh, but this has not been confirmed visually. Their vision is also like that of actual spiders; due to their multiple eyes, their field of vision is split into several images. They bear some physical resemblance to spiders, such as their white eyes with large sky-blue irises and black pupils, and their skin. However, they can appear like normal humans. - Abilities: Super strength, enhanced agility, super speed, webbing creation, invulnerability, and venom.
- Arachne can be killed only through beheading, or intense physical trauma.
Djinn Djinn are a rare race of supernatural cave dwelling hermits. They are humanoid creatures with tattooed skin that prefer to live in large ruins with a lot of places to hide. They feed on human blood and can poison their victims with a touch. The poison can be used either to kill their victims quickly, or to leave victims in a coma-like state while the djinn feeds on their blood over a long period of time. Djinn are depicted in the Koran as beings with godlike powers. Contemporary lore depicts them as genies and are able to read a person's mind to learn their deepest desires; however, the djinn do not truly grant wishes like the genies of lore. Instead, using their poison, the Djinn causes hallucinations so powerful that the immobilized victim thinks he or she is actually living in the reality the Djinn implanted. The fantasy universe differs among the victims but it is generally where they believe their wish has been granted. Victims under the influence of the Djinn could see other victims as apparitions within their fantasy. At their peak, these fantasies, are incredibly detailed, to the point were they include a fantasy version of the Djinn who infected them, and there victims. Time passes slowly enough in the fantasy universe that the djinn's victims will feel as if they are living an entire lifetime before their physical bodies die. The only way to escape from the Fantasy universe, is for the person to comit suicide, in which case they wake up. However if they die in the fantasy from anything other than their own hand, they will die in real life. There is an antidote to Djinn posion, known to some hunter circles. When Djinn access their powers, either both their eyes and hands glow blue, or their tattoos move and extend down their arms. A second type of Djinn exists. This type do not feed on human blood but on human fear. They can pass as normal humans at will and reveal their glowing blue eyes just like normal Djinn do before attacking their prey. They possess the same powers and weakness of normal Djinns, but unlike them, turn the victim's insides to jelly and leave a blue hand mark on the corpse of the victim. This Djinn's poison is different as well, instead of making their prey hallucinating living in their happy place, they hallucinate their worst nightmares and die from fear. The anitidote for normal Djinn poison doesn't affect their hallucinations. The only way to escape is to let go of the fear. Both types of Djinns hide in ruins and tend to live as a family and raise their own offspring. - Abilities: Hallucinogenic touch, super strength, super speed, super senses, shapeshifting, immortality, telepathy, super agility.
- Djinn will die if stabbed through the heart with a silver knife dipped in lamb's blood. Presumably they would die as well from beheading or immense physical trauma such as dismemberment.
Siren Sirens are a type of supernatural creature that can take different forms to lure and compel humans to perform drastic acts to prove their love and devotion. These acts are usually destructive or violent and usually result in deaths of one kind or another. Not much is known about them, however, due to the fact that they are creatures rarely seen outside of Greece. A Siren's true form is that of a ugly, hairless, vaguely-humanoid monstrosity with gaunt, inhuman facial features. They are able to take on multiple forms to deceive their prey—humans—usually transforming into a person that matches their victims' desire, such as a lover, friend or anything else that person may long for. In ancient times, they lived on islands and forced sailors to chase them, driving their ships onto the rocks. By using a sort of venom gland in their mouths, they can infect people with large doses of the hormone oxytocin (a hormone that is produced during childbirth, lactation, and sex; sometimes called the "love hormone") or at the very least, one similar to it. Victims with this much of the hormone in their systems experience an intense sense of euphoria and love for the creature that extends beyond just the physical and/or sexual realms. They truly love the creature to their cores and need and desire whatever the creature says it does for itself, and as acts of love and devotion, the ensnared are willing to carry out drastic, most usually violent and deadly requests simply for the asking. These terrible acts are usually perpetrated against those the victim loved before being infected—proving just how much they love the siren. Once these acts of violence are enacted (or even just as they've begun), the siren "gets bored" and immediately vanishes, leaving their victims emotionally broken to deal with the consequences of their own actions. Unlike many monsters, Sirens do not technically feed on humans. Instead, they feel an intense rush of pleasure when their victims carry out atrocities against other loved ones. Like the people they infect, the intense feelings of euphoria do not last long and they quickly grow bored with their targets and venture off to find others. - Abilities: Telepathy, shapeshifting, compulsion
- The toxin a Siren produces is lethal to itself and they can be killed by being stabbed by a bronze dagger coated in it, or in the blood of someone under their spell. Beheading and dismemberment would work as well.
Werewolves - Pureblood Werewolves are humanoid carnivores. Werewolves that are closer to the Alpha up to the fourth generation are referred to as Purebloods. They have more control over themselves and are less feral. Their human side retains a lot of control and they remember what happened after their transformation. They can transform anytime they want. Purebloods can also access some of their werewolf powers such as enhanced strength and speed even while in human form. Purebloods can also feed on just animal hearts, but if they get a taste of human hearts, it is harder to control themselves and they will be drawn to eating human hearts, and with each heart eaten the temptation escalates. It is still difficult for them to eat animal hearts even if they can resist, one stated he had to force himself to swallow them. It is unknown if purebloods belonging to the four generations mean they are offspring or are simply human beings turned by a first-, second- or third-generation pureblood, or if both cases will hold true.
Wraiths A Wraith is a type of supernatural creature, that feeds on human's brain fluids and can infect them with high doses of dopamine. Wraiths feed on brain fluids, which can be extracted through a spike located in its wrists. They introduce it in a weak spot behind the ear to easily get to the victim's brain. Wraiths can use it as a weapon, but it seems to be easy to break. Victims with their brain fluids sucked out are left with completely dried brains. It is shown that the best survival site for a wraith would be a psychiatric asylum, as it is the perfect place to feast on a regular basis--not only the patients' brains, soaked in dopamine, are delicious, but no one in the staff would believe them if they claim that there is a monster killing them, as the patients were diagnosed as unstable (psychologically speaking) and most of them suffer some form of psychosis, schizophrenia, and several other mental disorders involving paranoia, reality distortions, hallucinations, and other delusions. As other supernatural creatures, wraiths can look like typical humans. However, their real faces can be seen, and recognized as wraiths, when they are reflected on a mirror. Their true form is that of a humanoid creature with a rotten skin. - Abilities: Perception altering, insanity inducement, spikes, super strength, super agility.
- Wraith are weak to silver; it burns their skin if they touch it and will kill them if they are stabbed with it. Beheading and immense physical trauma would kill them as well.
[/PTab] [PTab=High Rank] High ranking monsters are rare in the supernatural world. This guide should help answer any questions about a monsters ability when being apped, or if one is appearing in a thread. These are not the only high ranked monsters but are the ones that staff believes will be used most often. If you have questions regarding another monster do not hesitant to contact staff. Alphas Alphas are they fathers of each of their own respective race. They all are male as Eve is the mother. They are the monsters first created by her and are immensely powerful and immensely old. There is only one alpha per each race. Known races to have alphas are: Djinn, Skinwalker, Shapeshifter, Vampire, Werewolf. Other races may have an Alpha too. If you are interested in apping the Alpha of another race please contact staff. - Abilities: Each Alpha possess the abilities of their race that are super-charged. They all possess a telepathic link to their children, enhanced immunity, and a link to Eve.
- Their weaknesses are generally muted and, as in the case with the Skinwalkers, sometimes their weakness is something even more rare than the rest of their species. Beheading or immense physical trauma would kill them as well.
Dragon Dragons are a very rare race of supernatural creatures that have not been hunted or even seen for over 700 years. They are similar to the traditional dragons in lore, but, whilst in confined spaces, they appear more like humanoid creatures rather than the winged beasts shown in traditional art. Dragons are attracted to gold and they traditionally live in caves, but they make homes or hideouts in sewers when there are no caves to hide in. In addition, it seems that dragons also are attracted to female human virgins and its implied they eat them. Dragons are also sapient and intelligent, to the point where there capable of practicing magic. They are also social creatures, who often work with members of their own kind. Although intelligent they are often very brutal when facing opponents and like almost all monsters have no regard for humans. Dragons can take human form and can disguise themselves as a human. In their true form, dragons have large wings that they use to fly, they can hide their wings when disguised as humans. When flying their wings make a great leathery fluttering sound. Dragons also have large talons and snake-like eyes. When cut, it showed a scale-like pattern, implying that they have scales in their true form. Dragons also have dark red blood. In their true form dragons are quite large. One witness who saw them described them as "huge", the distance between the claws on one of their feet was shown, by the victim's wound, to be about two to three inches, thus implying it to be gigantic. Its wingspan is enough to cause reasonably strong winds by flapping them. Despite their size, they can move with incredible speed, agility and stealth through the air. - Abilities: Super strength, shapeshifting, thermokinesis, flight, invulnerability, super speed, super stamina, super senses.
- The only thing that can kill a dragon is a sword forged with dragon blood. Beheading and immense physical trauma would work as well.
Phoenix Phoenixes are powerful beings who appear human, and are very rare in existence, so rare that, much like Dragons, they are believed to by mythical even by veteran hunters. They have the power to burn anyone into ash with a simple touch of its hand. Even though a Phoenix is immortal and powerful, it is still vulnerable to iron like many other supernatural creatures. Unlike most other creatures it is fairly easily to kill a phoenix. Also unlike most other creatures, however, their death is not permanent. They return to life the following morning. Upon being truly killed they combust upon death. Their true form is that of a giant winged fiery bird. - Abilities: Incineration, immortality, invulnerability, superhuman strength, regeneration, shapeshifting.
- Iron burns them and inhibits many of their abilities (though not their immortality). The Colt can kill them and, presumably, so could beheading or immense physical trauma.
